Which Antibiotics to Take for H Pylori

by Nick
(Michigan)

What antibiotics are suitable for hPylori? I am allergic to penicillin (vk nearly closed my throat) and levofloxacin. .

I can take clarithromycin and also have taken Doxycycline for Lyme with very little problems aside from exposure to the sun and am thinking there must be another antibiotic that can work with clarythtromcin even tho I read that most standard medical treatments for Hpylori only work 50% of the time!

My throat will feel 'raw' after only slight physical exertion. it is impossible to exhale while exercising without belching and I often seem to get laryngitis.

thanks very very much.

Why Antibiotics?
by: Kerri Knox

Hi Nick,

While I can't advise you on whether or which antibiotics to take for H pylori, I can ask you why you think antibiotics are even necessary? They are not always necessary.

I personally eliminated my own H pylori without them, and many of my clients have also. I CAN tell you that much of my practice is devoted to just treating the disabling side effects of one particular class of antibiotics, that I only recommend taking if your life literally depends upon it and there are no other options.

I discuss the antibiotics you should avoid, how to maximize the effectiveness of antibiotics should you decide to take them, and how to eliminate H pylori without antibiotics, if you choose to go that direction, in my book The H Pylori Solution.
