Psioriasis and Vitamin D
by: Kerri Knox, RN-The Immune Queen!

There IS a connection between Psoriasis and Vitamin D, with one researcher commenting, "The active form of vitamin D exhibits anti-proliferative and immunoregulatory effects and has been shown to be useful in the treatment of psoriasis."

Also, an old time treatment for many problems, Sunlight exposure, also seems to have a beneficial effect on psoriasis as well. Maybe our LACK of sunlight exposure is CONTRIBUTING to the problem of psoriasis in industrialized nations.

And with your widespread pain and loss of cartilage in your knees (another condition related to Vitamin D Deficiency), I would bet that you are SEVERELY Vitamin D Deficient and would suggest getting a Vitamin D blood test ASAP!!!

But it sounds like there is more to your problems than JUST Vitamin D Deficiency. There are many reasons for Psoriasis- and two others are Selenium Deficiency and Gluten Sensitivity.

I highly suspect that you are Gluten Sensitive due to the fact that these problems started at such a young age. Gluten Sensitivity also leads to malabsorption of nutrients, making things worse- as they are as you are getting older.

I suggest that you immediately do a MAJOR OVERHAUL of your diet and lifestyle ALONG with getting your Vitamin D Levels up!

To anyone who wants to improve their health and get rid of their health problems, I suggest the book The Body Ecology Diet.

Really, your health conditions are not a result of bad luck or terrible genetics, no matter what people tell you to make you feel better about your health problems. They are a result of your environment on your genetics. Meaning that environment caused your problems, and CHANGING your environment- diet, exercise, toxic exposures, etc. can make a HUGE difference in your health.

If you REALLY want an answer to your health problems and want to begin to get better, I urge you to buy The Body Ecology Diet and Dr. Carolyn Dean's Future Health Now Program today and start getting better.

You REALLY CAN get better!!!
