Vitamin D Link to Cancer

My wife had breast cancer which was surgically removed and than radiation and chemotherapy was given.

During follow up it was found that cancer has developed in left lung. Again chemotherapy was done. Although there was considerable reduction in the nodules size in lungs but again it also appeared in brain. Radiation therapy for brain has been given and now further chemotherapy is being planned to be given.

I understand that Vitamin D helps in controlling/curing cancer. Please guide me.
