Vitamin D levels and your heart...
by: Kerri Knox, RN- The Immune Queen!

Hi Laura,

Ai yi yi! I'm SO SORRY to hear about your troubles. Sounds like you've been through a LOT. And unfortunately, you are in the same position of MILLIONS of people.
Lie
So, Laura. This whole cholesterol business is an OPINION and NOT a fact. While the 'mainstream' medical cartel says that cholesterol causes heart disease, there are those who do NOT believe that the research tells us that. In fact, a former heart surgeon by the name of Dr. Dwight Lundell says that this whole cholesterol issue is one big LIE!

He believes that cholesterol is NOT the issue- but INFLAMMATION. And after 25 years of doing surgery on people's hearts, he's learned that the ONE thing people with heart attacks have in common is INFLAMMATION- NOT high cholesterol.

AND he tells you how to cool that inflammation and get off the drugs, drugs and more drugs merry-go-round.

Read about The Cholesterol Lie here.

THEN, you need to get that Vitamin D Level taken care of. Low vitamin D levels are, more and more, being shown to be a contributing factor to heart disease and overall mortality- and low levels can make you feel like 'Warmed Over Death' as some of my clients put it!!!

4 weeks of taking 50,000 IU's is really ridiculous with a Vitamin D Level of 4. You're going to need, probably, around 12 to 18 weeks of that dosage to get your levels up to the Researcher Recommended Optimal Vitamin D Levels- which are far higher than your doctor will tell you that you need.

PLUS, your doctor should NOT be giving you Prescription Vitamin D anyway!! So, when you finish up your 4 weeks of Prescription Vitamin D, go get yourself a bottle of Vitamin D3 Supplements and it is ENTIRELY safe to take 10,000 IU's per day until your Vitamin D Level is between 40 to 80 ng/ml.

Don't give up, you DO have options. Get your Vitamin D Levels up and get The Great Cholesterol Lie. You will be AMAZED at what information there is out there that your doctors are NOT telling you!

Thanks For The Quick Reply
by: Laura

Thank you for your quick reply. Ironic that you mention inflamation. My sed rate is always high. At one point about 7 years ago it went way up to 120. I had gone to the ER because the bottoms of my feet were bruised and black and blue.
Cholesterol Lie
The ER doctor called my doctor and they didn't know if the sed rate was that high because of a possible reaction to the antibiotics I was taking, or if the lung infection I had caused it to rise.

They never figured out what the lung infection was, and were going to go in and take a biopsy thinking it may be cancer (I had a lesion), but after 6 weeks of CT Scans it started to shrink so they did not do the surgery. Anyway, it took about 6 months for my sed rate to lower, but it still runs 39 to 45, it has never returned to 20 or under.

My doctor just says, I may have inflamation somewhere in my body, but does not seemed concerned about it. He said I may have had a touch of sarcoid, but they will never be sure. I will get D3 if that's what my body needs.

Thanks again-Laura

Reactive, not proactive medicine...
by: Kerri Knox, RN- The Immune Queen!

Hi Laura,

So, this is the difference between REactive and PROactive medicine. Proactive medicine seeks to find out WHY you have this inflammation and get rid of it ASAP. REactive medicine says, oh well- we'll wait and see what disease you get later and we'll take care of it then.

Do you realize that nearly EVERYONE with heart disease has inflammation from an unknown cause? This unknown cause of inflammation may very well be the CAUSE of your heart disease!

So, if you want to get healthy, you need to figure out WHY you have this chronic inflammation and get rid of it. Here are just a FEW sources of inflammation that your doctor is NOT going to look for:

Cholesterol Lie

1) Periodontal Disease- EXTREMELY closely linked to heart disease. You need to determine if you have dental disease and GET RID OF IT. Get the ebook Money by the Mouthful to learn what doctors and dentists are NOT telling you about dental and periodontal disease. This is a MUST if you have any dental disease.

2) Food allergies: particularly Gluten Sensitivity. The gut is the MOST COMMON place for inflammation - and your doctor is NOT going to look for inflammation there. A 'touch of sarco' your doctor says?! If that's even true, it's probably because of Gluten Sensitivity.

3) The H pylori Bacteria. A bacteria in your stomach that causes inflammation and IS related to heart disease in some studies. Get Tested for H Pylori and GET RID OF IT if you have it!!

Seriously, you need to check for these things and get The Great Cholesterol Lie. It is NOT a coincidence that you have heart disease AND unresolved inflammation!!

You NEED Fat...
by: Kerri Knox, RN- The Immune Queen!

I was looking over this thread again and noted your diet. You are not eating ANY fat- practically none at all!!!

Good fats do NOT cause heart disease and actually help to prevent heart disease!! You really need to start looking at getting a significant amount of good fats in your diet.

First, start with a good quality Omega 3 Fatty Acid Supplement, which also helps to decrease inflammation.

And then find other ways to incorporate Omega 3's into your diet:

Wild caught salmon
Grass Fed Beef
Omega 3 Eggs

and other wild and/or grass fed game and poultry.
