Vitamin D and Skin
by: Kerri Knox, RN-The Immune Health Queen!

Vitamin D Deficiency has been related to Skin Conditions, such as exzema and psoriasis, but I don't know if just 'bumpy' skin is related.

Sometimes a lack of Vitamin A is the cause, but be careful NOT to take preformed 'Vitamin A' as there are conflicting studies on Vitamin A and health.

Instead, getting Vitamin A in the form of Beta Carotene- a natural form of Vitamin A- is a better choice. The BEST choice is to get your Vitamin A in the form of a High Quality Multivitamin from Whole Food Sources like Jigsaw Health's Essential Daily Packs as opposed to the mostly synthetic vitamin supplements that are on the market.

This would cover you for any of the possible nutritional reasons that you might have rough skin. But you'll still have to take a stand alone Vitamin D Supplement to correct your Vitamin D Deficiency.
