Thank God For Neighbors.

My Gluten Free Story officially starts in late April 2010. But for years prior I suffered anytime I ate anything breaded or battered and battled an ongoing, terrible, itchy skin rash on my arms. I love to cook and "used to" cook anything and everything that sounded good at the moment.
Then as time went on, I was constantly very bloated and had constant stomach pain...not to mention gaining approximately twenty pounds over about four years. I became very self conscious and depressed because of this. Doctors were thinking I had skin cancer on my arms and perhaps a thyroid problem. Whatever.
I quit going to them. I KNEW that was not the problem. Back to my title of this story. My neighbor gave me a stack of about ten magazines. Out of the ten I picked up one and low and behold there was a large article about being gluten intolerant! I could not believe my eyes- everything there was what I had been experiencing! What were the chances of me picking up that ONE magazine?
Anyway, I have been about 95% Gluten Free now for 6 weeks and feel so different, it's amazing. Still learning and experimenting...I learn real quick now what foods to stay away from...:(. I have lost five pounds. Can't wait to see what will happen with losing weight in the months to come.
I hope that anyone that relates to this reads what i have had to say and that it HELPS.
I feel like a different person, no kidding.
