Taking Vitamin D in First Trimester of Pregnancy

I have been prescribed HuxD3 for a vitamin D deficiency at a dosage of 100,000 iu for 2 days and then a maintenance dose of 20,000 iu a week for another 10 weeks.

I am currently 6 weeks pregnant and would like to know if it is safe for me to take this now or whether I should wait till I am in my second trimester.

no one can say

No one can say with any degree of certainty what is 'safe' for a woman to take in her first trimester of pregnancy. However, if you read the page on Vitamin D During Pregnancy, you might come to the conclusion that getting sufficient vitamin D is better for your baby than being deficient for any longer than necessary.
