Methylation is one of the major forms of detoxification in the body, and methylation is responsible for many many of the detoxification processes in the body, of which Methylcobalamin B12 Supplements can aid.
Here are just a couple of the studies showing how methylcobalamin can aid in detoxification in the body of these substances.
ENZYMATIC METHYLATION OF ARSENIC SPECIES AND OTHER NEW APPROACHES TO ARSENIC TOXICITY <--- This shows that arsenic is detoxified through methylation. While it does not DIRECTLY show that methylcobalamin detoxifies arsenic, the fact that methylcobalamin is a methyl donor responsible for methylation would logically follow that this is the case.
I'm not sure why you'd want to take this stuff to your doctor though, when
A) It's unlikely that he has any knowledge of detoxification B) It's unlikely that he thinks that anyone has harmful mycotoxin or arsenic exposure C) You can take Methylcobalamin B12 Supplements on your own without the need for your doctor to 'approve' of it.
Sorry, I'm just cynical about the medical profession. I find that we have to be our own best doctors. It's sad but true that nearly all of the doctors out there are unable to help the vast majority of people with chronic illnesses because they rigidly continue using a medical model that is designed for acute illnesses. It's a system set up to fail those with chronic health problems, and it does. I have found that if a doctor is not already researching this on his own, no amount of peer-reviewed studies will change what he already believes and you'll be left feeling depressed and angry from 'banging your head against a wall' with a doctor who is unwilling or unable to help you. It's one of the reasons that I got out of the western medical profession.
