What Was Your Level Previoulsly?
by: Kerri Knox, RN- The Immune Queen!

Hi Lynn,

Can you tell me what your level was when you started taking vitamin d and how long you've been taking it. For all I know, you've been taking vitamin d for 4 weeks and your starting level was a 2.

In that case, you're perfect- keep doing exactly what you are doing- except reconsider taking the Prescription Vitamin D that you are taking.

And please read my page on Magnesium and Vitamin D to see why you are simply not going to bring your levels up if you are magnesium deficient.

Also, if you have immune problems and polymyalgia rheumatica, you almost surely have Gluten Sensitivity. I can give you a THOUSAND reasons why you need to get off of gluten. So, I'll be happy to help you more, but unless you get off of gluten, there is little point.

Read those pages, get rid of gluten (and dairy) and let me know if you have any questions.

Vitamin D
by: Lynn

my level was 8 about 3 years ago I start just on the 50.000 units & I have been taking 50.000 2x a week for at least 2 & a half years. It's probably because I as the doctors say I'm dumping my Vit D with my IGg's every two weeks.

Now I am also taking 16mg of Medrol each day for the PMR,I very frustrated.

I live in Fl how much sun do I need?

You Need Enough
by: Kerri Knox, RN- The Immune Queen!

Hi Lynn,

You need 'enough' sun to bring your vitamin d levels up to the optimal range. How much that is for YOU, I have no idea- there are dozens of variables.

But Lynn, please read my previous comment and look all over my site. If you are expecting vitamin d to 'fix' you, then you are going to be very disappointed. Your problems are likely to be a complex mixture of problems that are VERY VERY similar to the Causes of Fibromyalgia.

If you are frustrated, then maybe you need some personalized help with a Health Consultation. It sounds like you might need some intensive help..
