Are You Sure...
by: Kerri Knox, RN- The Immune Queen!

Are you SURE that you have given me the right numbers?

The number on the top is your 1,25 OH D level, which is NOT your Vitamin D Level, therefore the one that says D3 SHOULD be your "Vitamin D Level", but you have it written as 1,25 dihydroxyvitamin d3 and if it is your "Vitamin D Level", it SHOULD say 25 hydroxyvitamin d and not 1,25 dihydroxyvitamin d.

Can you check your laboratory slip again and see if that is the case.

Test Differences?
by: Robin

Good Day, :-)

I was wondering what is the difference between
Vit D, 1,25‐Dihydroxy test and Vit D, 25‐Hydroxy test? My doctor was using the Vit D, 25‐Hydroxy test and then she left and the new doctor used the Vit D, 1,25‐Dihydroxy test.

So, my last levels were Vit D, 1,25‐Dihydroxy 57 pg/ml and my levels before that were Vit D, 25‐Hydroxy 53 ng/ml. So now I'm a bit confused.

Also, I've taking 5000 iu of D3 a day just to keep my levels stable otherwise they drop. Today I accidentally took 10,000 iu (I though I forgot the 1st dose took the 2nd then realized I did take it lol!) and I actually feel a little better. Would it be safe to take 10,000 iu for a month or so?

As I've been experiencing fatigue, joint pain and brain fog and doctors are having trouble figuring it out.
I also started taking kelp since my tsh is 2.86, it's helping with my feeling cold.

Thank you for your marvelous website. :-)

they are completely different

They are completely different. Please use the search function on the upper right to search for 1,25 OH D. I have many pages explaining it.
