Can you tell me why you think that... by: Kerri Knox, RN- The Immune Queen!
Hi Tim,
Can you tell me why you are asking. I'm not one to answer 'theoretical' questions very well, I like to know what prompted people to ask the question in the first place.

Gluten sensitivity and hypertension by: Anonymous
This is NOT a 'hypothetical' question. It is a simple question to which there is a 'yes' or 'no' answer for anyone who is sufficiently familiarity with hypertension and gluten sensitivity to be holding themselves out as someone with some knowledge of both and 'expertise'.
Tim, anecdotal stuff here only, because I think you deserve a straight answer. I am a life-long autoimmune (various manifestations)and as I get older (now late 60s) have found that blood pressure surges (and often tachycardia) follow closely on the heels of eating things like frozen Naan pizzas, crackers of the non-gluten sort, and other such items.
If you check the internet using 'gluten sensitivity' or 'celiac' with either 'hypertension' or 'tachycardia' there's a fair amount out there to suggest a solid link. All the best.
