H pylori and weIght loss

Is it possible to loose weight with h pylori infection? I had it 2 years ago. Was treated got better, but symptoms are back again. Loosing weight, nausea vomiting, burning, and no appetite.

No point in speculating

H Pylori can cause ANY symptoms, as I go over on my Symptoms of H Pylori page. There is simply no point in 'speculating' as to whether H pylori is causing your weight loss until you find out if you have it.

If you are having symptoms, then get an H Pylori Test and find out if you have it. If you do, then get rid of it and see if that fixes the problem. But if you don't have it, then it can't be causing your problems, right?

Also, if you DO have it again, you may want to try to do something about WHY you are getting it back by reading my book The H Pylori Solution and stop the cycle of getting this infection back over and over again.

Yes it causes weight loss too

My daughter is a physically fit person and she suddenly started to lose weight, she was glad at first, but started to get heartburn often. After being tested she was diagnosed with h pylori. Soon after I too lost a dramatic amount of weight, from 156 pds to 139 in just a week. I too started having serious heartburn symptoms, after testing I too was diagnosed with h pylori. So yes, it can cause the dramatic weight loss. After treatment the weight came back, but the heartburn continued once in a while, even after treatment was successful.
