Gluten sensitivity and medication abosorbtion

Does a gluten intolerance or sensitivity inhibit our body from absorbing medications and supplaments? My medication does not seem to be working, and I don't really want to up the dosage any more.

Also is the gluten in a light beer as severe as eating a bowl of pasta?

Thank you

Gluten and Medication Absorption.
by: Kerri Knox, Registered Nurse

Yes, medication absorption can be affected by gluten intake. Yes, the gluten in light beer is IDENTICAL to the gluten in pasta. There are no 'kinds' of gluten, there is only gluten, and some people can be seriously affected by even the smallest amount of gluten- in fact some people are so sensitive that they can become ill simply by walking into a bakery and BREATHING the gluten in the air. If you are gluten sensitive, you need to eliminate gluten until you find out how much you can have without making you sick.
