I just thought I'd post my experience of Vit D, both D2 & D3. I didn't realise that the actual source of Vit. D is either Soya or Lanolin (wool oil), both of which I am allergic to. This is nothing to do with the carrier oil, it is the Vit. D itself. It has to come from somewhere.
Soya and lanolin are both known allergens, although people don't always realise the symptoms of these.
Soya can cause symptoms of what is known as Chinese Restaurant Syndrome as MSG in Chinese food is soya. So many people are surprised by that fact. A dietician told me that soya is the 2nd highest allergen in the world. When I reacted to it I got tingling arms and hands, chest pains and palpitations with feelings of aggitation. Of course this sounds like heart problems which is very scary, but also similar to anxiety symptoms. I realised it was soya as it only occurs when I eat products containing soya/msg, it is often a hidden ingredient.
I ran an online awareness campaign on the symptoms of soya intolerance/allergy and hundreds of people realised they had problems with it. Since then more products have been labelled, but it's still hidden in drugs and food.
Lanolin causes rashes, itching or swelling. Standard allergy reaction. Wearing wool makes me itch, so that's a clue to allergy.
I now ask the chemist/pharmacist to contact the drug/supplement company to check for me, as it may not be labelled.
Luckily, I have found a Vit. D3 sourced from fish oil and am keeping my fingers crossed. Hope this helps someone:)

I Have Also Had Trouble With D3. Mainly, Blood Pressure Issues. I Came Across A Website With News Of A Ne, Natural Form Of D3 Made From Lichen And Algae.
I Found A D3 Product That Has The Vitashine Product In It At A Vitamin Shoppe In Columbia, SC. Just Ask For A Plant-Based D3. Read The Box For The Vitashine Information. I Have Been Very Impressed With The Product!
I Had NO Idea Lanolin Was Used To Create D3! Try It!
My doctor prescribed me 50,000 units of vitamin d to take once a week. I have had all kinds of problems. Headaches, bone aches in my head, tingling in hands and feet , hot flashes, cold chills , my palms and soles of my feet look like their sunburned. Hot and cold to the touch. Anxiety , brain fog, I can't take any medicine for my brain amplifies it. My doctor says she has never heard of any reactions to vitamin d. Help!!!

If you arenot trying anything new or if your taking vitamin d3 and are breaking out. It could be alot of factors. Maybe rancid oils .like we would know that right ?lol.but possible alkergic to it. But i found out that another word abbreviation for coconut oil is either mtc or mct so check the label. And tymes farmers market carries an organic spray w no lanolin. Or try the kids in the oil drops in 1000iu .find out what you are allergic to and go from tjrre.pray about it and keep reading posted comments. Found alot on the web comments .talk to your doctor.listen to your body. If your trying a million different things and they are not working. ...tjen talk to your doc ...you could be allergic or have no tolerance for vitamin d.it can and does make you itch allover. Know to many people that itch for everyone to be allergic to an ingrediant:)))
