WOW!
by: Sandy A

If this is true, it'll be one of the greatest things that I can think of ... WOW!

Because of my autoimmune system disease (Phemphigus), I had to take Prednisone for months and, of course, that thinned my bones. I began taking Tums for the calcium and Vit D too.

The itch on various parts of my body has just about drove me insane! It seems as though when I stay off the vit D for a few days that the itching decrease, but I don't want to stop it.

I'll definitely look for the oil content in them.

Thank you so very much

Tums Should NOT be consumed....

Hi Sandy,

I'm not sure how you started taking Tums as a source of calcium and vitamin d, but there are two HUGE problems with taking Tums for this:

1) The calcium source is calcium carbonate- which is the WORST calcium for absorption.

2) Tums doesn't have any vitamin d. They are not designed to be a calcium and vitamin d supplement, but a heartburn reliever.

You need to read the Vitamin D Requirements page to see how INCREDIBLY high your Vitamin d needs are. And please reread your Tums bottle as it does NOT contain vitamin d.

So you'll need to also add the Vitamin D Supplement that's there too.

OR better yet, you'll get Jigsaw Health's Essential Daily Packs which has a good source of calcium and LOTS of magnesium and Vitamin d to help you actually ABSORB the calcium- which is absolutely NOT happening with your Tums.

So, I'm thinking that you came to this site looking for information about your itching being related to vitamin d, but it CAN'T be because you are not taking any!!
