Can my IBS diagnosis actually be from H. Pylori?

I began having severe stomach problems about 10 years ago. Diarrhea, stomach cramps, and severe, persistent heart burn. I was usually unable to finish a meal, having to head immediately to the bathroom. My first problem was gall stones. I had my gall bladder removed. I have read that this may have caused the above mentioned symptoms.
I went to a gastroenterologist, and had an upper and lower GI. They did not find anything that was causing my symptoms. I was finally given the diagnosis of Irritable Bowel Syndrome and given a cholesterol medication to bind the bile in my stomach. I was also put on pills for my stomach cramps and for my acid indigestion. I was recently discussing with my new doctor ( I just switched insurance carriers) the severe acid reflux I have and she suggested that I get tested for H. Pylori. I was tested and it came back positive.
I have been taking two different antibiotics (4 amoxicillan per day and 2 clarithromycin per day) and two acid reflux medications per day for two weeks. I am wondering if my IBS diagnosis could in fact be H. Pylori? My stomach has been cramping for about the last week of treatment, which I am not sure if is a good thing or bad. Thank you for reading, and I will look forward to your response.
