Hi Tom,

I'm sure that you are right that she needs vitamin d, but you should get her a vitamin d level so that you know how much she needs.

I have a page on Vitamin D Contraindications, but that is not the same as drug interactions.

I can't know about all the drug interactions, so you have to call a pharmacy and ask them about whether there are or not. They have the latest computer programs that can help more than I can.

About the diarrhea, it's most likely rancid oils in the vitamin d. Even a 'lanolin based' one has oils. I have a no oil Vitamin D Supplement that I keep for just that reason. Try a no oil version for her- AFTER you get her a vitamin d level..
